So I spent 25 hours of my weekend finishing up my

fashion sketchs for my thesis. Below is one of them.

So my thesis is - making dresses / clothings for a Japanese-American Actress

using American & Japanese wedding gowns.

In other words, I am re-making a new clothings for celebs using gowns that already exist.

It's going to be WHITE collection since I am making them using white gowns...DUH!

Being a Designer - mimy

I am designing new shirts for our 2nd collection. For our first collection, i literally had more than 60 designs and Vicky and I choose 2 from them. I am setting up deadline for myself so I basically have to come up with 60 designs in a week. I am pretty sure I can do it. I LOVE pushing myself to the limit and torturing myself like this... hahaha.

Story behind "GUCCI BITCHZ LOVE THEM LOUIS VUITTON DONS"

I came up with this design in Japan when I was there for my grandfather's funeral. Vicky and I already decided that we were going to print "QUEEN BITCH" shirt. Other designs that we liked were OK but nothing really stood out for me. I was reflecting all the things that had happened past few year and how I was in lots of different relationships. One of the reasons one of the relationships didn't work was because our VALUES were way too different. As you probably know, I am from West Bloomfield Michigan where many BITCHZ wear JUICY and carry CHANEL bags to school. BUT this one guy who I used to go out with was... hmmm... howshould i say it... not financially stable. I never knew anyone who didn't really know designers and didn't really appreciate designers... that was a BIG SURPRISE for me!!!! So our values were VERY VERY different, therefore this design came out. GUCCI BITCHZ LOVE THEM LOUIS VUITTON DONS. I want my man to understand my LOVE for designers! DESIGNER BAGS ARE THE BEST!!!!!! it's even GREAT if he LOVES designers too. I think guys who wear designers are sexy!

scarf, jacket, skirt, shirts, and other clothing from Burberry... hahaha... how weird.

it's like we have so many burberry clothes but we have NO burberry bag. hahaha

Chicago Trip - mim

OK... seriously, we couldn't DO SHIT in chicago.

it sucks because I worked so hard on friday to be able to show the stores what we have.

Ok, i asked my Music Engineer friend to make a "lipstickilla" BGM for the fashion show,

and he sent it to me... and it sounds pretty good!

I'm asked him to fix few stuff and he's gonna send me tomorrow.

It's been almost 6 month since i became single.

So many things happened that i feel like it was shorter!

I definately felt like this was the first time i actually used my time for myself.

I learned and gained so many things.

it was a very important period for me.

When i think back,

i admit, i was going crazy, i did something unexpected,

and i know so many people were getting tired of me.

however, people who are important to me were always there to support me no matter what.

and when i think about that... i feel like crying... :(

a year before, i was SICK mentally.

but now, i love my life and life is REALLY beautiful!

people's hearts are really easily recovered.

no matter what, i won't change my beliefs,

and I will live my life according to what I feel.

There are as many failures as success, and my life might be filled with drama.

HOWEVER i feel happy just to be alive.

i feel happy just to have future.

so i think I should just live my life.

if I care so much about others, I can't look forward.

Everything is a learning experience.

In the end, my life is only MINE, not anyone else's.

SO, I'l continue being a shameless bitch. :)

Fashion Show Offer - mimz

So I went to Boston this weekend for job interviews.

I got interviews with some of the world leading Japanese corporation EVER, and of course they were not really for me. I really felt like I wasted my time but at the same time, I realized so many things at this trip and I believe that everything I do is a learning experience, so I am happy that I went.

BUT BACK TO LIPSTICKILLA!!!!

So we Lipstickilla, were asked by one of the University of Michigan's organization to sponsor our shirts for their fashion show! i think that's REALLY REALLY exciting!!!!! I just feel like every little thing we do is not a waste. These videos we make, it's really nice to find out how MANY people watch them! Many unexpected people come up to us and tell us that they saw our video and wants to be in our next one. I really feel like we are growing fast and people are recognizing it. Thank you everyone for your support.

after I get back from Boston (this weekend),

it's back to work again, baby.

10 Things That make Me Happy

1. VERY GOOD JAPANESE FOOD

i just can't stand non-authentic Japanese food and shitty japanese wanna-be food. BUT REAL JAPANESE FOOD make me Super happy, especially the ones that we eat at Ryokan (hotel with hot springs). They are like mini buffet all to yourself and you have like little portions of so many food!!! (like a picture above).

2. FINE Chocolate & Candies (no herseys please)

i LOVE chocolate. if you know me, you know that. i just can't live without chocolate. i always want something sweet in my mouth. I can eat MANY chocolates!!! i just don't eat too much because i'm scared to gain weight and be all fat.

3. Hot Spring

awwwww. I MISS HOT SPRINGS! i guess i just love showering and bathing in general but dang hot springs... it just feels SOOOOOO GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD. it's like orgasm times hundred.

4. Surprises

hahahaha. I LOVE SURPRiSES, especially expensive ones! lol... that includes tiffany's, and fine restaurants dining. good girls deserve good things right? hahahahahha... shut up! i love gettin flowers too... i don't know... i just love all these cute cheesy things!

5. Colorful Dresses

I JUST LOOOOVE colorful dresses. i have many colorful dresses myself! they just make me so happy!!! it's so cute and fun but still super classy!

6. Contemporary Art

seeing contemporary art at museum is one of my favorite things to do. I love learning new things and looking at interesting stuff. Gettin inspiration is number one thing that artists needs.

7. Nature's Creation & Ancient Civilization

if i have money to go anywhere, i would go all these ancient civilization stuff, and nature's creations! they make me realize so many wonderful things like how lucky i am to be born into this planet and blablabla.

8. Sunshine

I HEART SUNSHINE! i love summer and i love warm weather. They just make me feel super good. my mood is extra happy when it's hot outside!

9. Beach

i really don't like to be in my bathing suits, but i love beach! i love looking at ocean, i love tanning, i love to do fireworks by the beach. it's just so much fun!

10. Friends

friends always make me happy! my friends are hot and fun!!!! and yes my friends are just way prettier than your friends.

Out here grinding - Mims

I guess staying at Espresso Royal until it closes (11pm) is our work schedule. We worked on our designs for 8 hours yesterday and I came up with 2 new designs. I hated using Illustrator and Photoshop at the same time because my computer always freezes on me, but i guess it is getting used to it? hahaha. yeah it doesn't freeze as often anymore! yay!

Last night, my lambda little bro came late at night to give me tuna and crackers. That was nice of him! I was kind of hungry because I literally have no time to go to grocery shopping.

So Vicky and I spent 8 hours at Espresso today. We are working our asses off. We are not just "dreaming" and talking about becoming fashion designers. We are actually hardcore working to become them. We don't just tell people we are starting a clothing line and don't do shit for couple month. We literally meet up more than 5 hours a day and do A LOT of things within our meetings. Yes, some people tell us "what the fuck you are doing for 5 hours everyday?" but, trust me, we DO a lot. We talk about A LOT of things, we try to figure out things way more than you imagine. So with a hardwork today, I completely finished one design. I really like it! Vicky is on her way of finishing one too! I just hope to see them designs on T-shirts as soon as possible!!!!!! I also changed few things on the website; bio of me and Vicky, and I added analytics.

I always wanted to make lotta money... but seriously even if we are not gettin paid "yet", I am enjoying what I'm doing right now and i feel like i can do this forever, even if i don't get the amount of money i want. DOING WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY means a lot more than GETTING MONEY .

In Studio Working - Mimy Kiwi

I'm currently in my studio working. My plan is to come up with at least 100 designs by the end of this week and choose the best 3 out of them. My way of working is to just sketch non-stop. If I stop sketching, I know I'm gonna stop thinking... I really love my studio. It's a 8x20 space and I'm sharing with my friend who is a jewelry designer. I could have my own 8x8 space but I decided to share a big space with her. We can always have curtain and separate our own spaces but I like little distraction when I'm working. When I get my camera fixed, I'm going to post some pictures of my studio.

I guess today's plan is to go to DnkXchange with Sistine guys after my classes. This week has been really busy for both Vicky and me but yet I have never been this productive in my college life. We did literally A LOT this week, and I am very proud of ourselves for going after our dreams and trying to make them come true. I learned SO MANY things about business. I am an art student, so I had ZERO knowledge regards to Business & marketing.

In the end, happiness in life is all about doing what you love doing.
